He’a a new-agey poet. All the circles he runs with are hyper liberal. Yes he loved Bernie. I liked Bernie too fwiw.
Fucking hell, Ken. It’s time to cut bait, bro.
I know; that’s what was so surprising. How many boomers are going to like Bernie more than you?
My mother passed away before Trump became president, but she was saying things that make me think she would have supported him.
I loved her and she loved me. My strategy was always to say over-the-top stuff, including strongly implying that I would be willing to commit acts of political violence, so that she would sense that talking about politics too much would cause a fight that she wanted to avoid.
If all you talked about was executing Trump for his crimes in increasingly fanciful ways, would they argue with you or would they try to avoid conflict? Don’t try to change their mind, but put the in the awkward spot of having to react to you instead of you reacting to them. Keep it as policy-free as possible so they won’t be tempted to think they can change your mind with “facts”.

Nah, I don’t believe you.

I imagine you’re right, which probably means that voting is useless for implementing even incremental progressive changes.
I got my Trump Bucks™ today. It’s a real shame that guy is leaving office.

Mike Duncan’s Revolutions podcast just returned from hiatus, this current season on the russian revolution(s) has been particularly depressing in this regard. If you think today’s democrats are bad about falling for the old “lucy holding the football of progressive change” trick, you should really check this season (and all of them, really) out.
… or is he?
So is this what rjoefish disappeared to go do?

I was awakened by a banging on my door this morning. I’m still in my jammies and open the door to a fully outfitted cop. Fortunately he just wanted me to move my car.
This is the earliest I’ve been up in weeks. The good news is I checked UP and found out I’m not suzzer’s dad.
Your mind doesn’t work exactly like that? I thought everyone’s did.
My mind works like that Full Tilt commercial with Phil Ivey.
