Yes, Vietnam, though to me it’s not really about the war. Like MASH is not really about the Korean War. China Beach is more drama than MASH though. It doesn’t look like they could afford to spend much on combat scenes and there aren’t a lot of those. There’s a lot of flashing forward and back in time, which is a little disorienting, I guess intentionally. The actors say it was a highlight of their careers and I can understand why. I just watched the episode set around the fall of Saigon. Dana Delaney is great.
But also not mentioning why he should not have been allowed to come here. They think people who worked with the US should be left there to be victimized by the Taliban?
If they are Muslim and/or brown, of course

A friend of mine works at this mall and was on his lunch when the shooting started. USA#1
Doesn’t seem like the best source, but Stockton can be pretty rough
appearing to be assisted by police."
This is pretty bad. Two dead, eight in critical condition. Suspect at large and no pictures of him yet available.
One of the initial reports said suspect “down” and another said in custody. Was also a suggestion there might be more than one shooter. Haven’t checked again. Hopefully this just the usual confusion.
He’s at large. No doubt about that. The first “suspect” was a false alarm, similar to what happened in the Charlie Kirk shooting.
Some might say it’s a blessing from God to not have to live in Trumpworld anymore.
Mass shooting in Bondi just happened. Two gunmen attacking a Hanukkah event is how it looks right now but there’s a bit of confusion. 10 confirmed dead including children and a police officer. Lot of injured too. This is going to get bad. I mean it’s already bad obviously, but I’m talking politically.
At least there’s a good guy without a gun:
The good guy is a 43 year old fruit shop owner called Ahmed El Ahmed.
I’m sure this will be brought up by the pro gun people. But just to be clear. Two concerted gun men attacked a crowded place and were firing for close to an hour
They killed 11 people.
It doesn’t seem as if they had fully automatic weapons. It would have been an even worse event if they did.
Australia has actually however been backsliding on it’s tough gun laws, so here’s hoping they crank them back up again.
Why did it take so long for police to respond?
yeah over an hour? wat
That’s incredible. He follows the guy out in the open to throw something at him while the second gunman is still up on the bridge firing away. Edit: Or is that a different guy who comes in?
