Post-policy conservatism in its purest form. Don’t try and prevent these things from happening, just talk about punishment when they inevitably do. Bonus points for sounding completely craven and bloodthirsty.

No school shooters kill themselves or die by first responder.
Obviously the death penalty would be so very effective here! 400 shootings a year down to 398 in no time.
