Yeah, that doesn’t seem mainstream at all. It is also possible to interpret what you’ve written as not actually an instruction not to call them patients. It’s just an instruction to think of them that way.
I guess if the person saying that just thinks that way, then it’s unfortunate. However it would also be wrong to identify a patient as a client. Being a patient actually brings along with it certain ethical and legal obligations that most mere clients (in other fields) simply don’t have. If this bro or broette wants ignore those obligations, hopefully at some point they will face consequences that will make the it clear to them.
I doubt they’ll face any consequences, the people they’re training will. Luckily my girlfriend is such a good person that this stuff makes her sad but won’t change her empathy for patients, I’m 100x more worried she’s going to cry for patients in front of them than accidentally treat them like clients instead of patients.
She actually feels bad for the racist with Trump flags on his pickup who hit her parked car the other day then yelled at her over it, she’s a fucking Saint. I’m like thrilled the guy might actually face consequences and lose his license cause he’s 86 and wasn’t supposed to be driving, and she feels bad for him.
Update Today : Thanks to a tip from a student we have arrested a 15 year old male at Edmonds-Woodway High School who was in a classroom armed with a handgun.
A candidate says that students are dressing up like cats and dogs and pretending to be cats and dogs and even going so far as demanding that they defecate in kitty litter boxes. The school district looked into it and did find that classrooms were storying kitty litter, but not for the furries
There was a time, not that long ago, when Florida jurors would simply vote on the death sentence, and then the judge would consider that recommendation before deciding on the sentence. That changed a few years ago.
