on the one hand, i understand this reaction, but on the other hand outrage over this is simply misplaced. if we can ban assault weapons and register gun owners, but have to forever live with lego guns, i would snap-call that deal. probably even if i thought scotus is likely going to reverse the ban and licensing in a few years.
this just does not make my blood boil. i would not advise anyone to get toy guns or guns that look like toys for their children, but most parents have set some reasonable set of toys which are okay for themselves. for some it stops at nerf guns, while for others it’s bb or airsoft.
tbh i have a bigger problem with 30yo who convert their paintball guns to look like ar15.
I eagerly await the news stories about cops murdering a bunch of black kids playing with Legos because you can never be too careful.

not functionally different from cops shooting kids brandishing hair combs or iphones. it’s a problem with police, and possibly the marketing of that company if they push out so many of those guns that it becomes a common carry, but not legos.
