Gonna be real. Only voting no on L. Washington because I don’t think I’ve ever seen him post before. Like I’m sure he has but I genuinely don’t remember any posts from that member.
He has been here for 5 and a half years and has 2700 posts.
You could just not vote, but you’re voting no because you don’t read or remember his posts? And announcing your vote?

Risky called for me to be banned for “hate speech” for arguing that trans ideology is philosophically incoherent and factually inaccurate. I cannot support someone for mod who would ban people for arguing that a position is false or incoherent. To me is like saying you cannot argue that communism or libertarianism is false because it’s part of a person’s identity.
Trans ideology (gender is real and is whatever a person says it is) and, more important politically, society should be reconfigured to accommodate trans people is one of the most significant political weaknesses of the democratic party, and I believe it important for democratic candidates to emphasize that they do not support special privileges for trans people, such as access to women’s sports or women’s prisons. Should debate about issues like trans participation in sports be banned, or is it allowed so long as you don’t argue against it?

Risky will be elected and I am just flagging my concern that she will have a capacious conception of what qualifies at “hate speech”. However, my understanding is that she is a librarian so maybe I will be pleasantly surprised by her commitment to open discussion.
I have no doubt she will continue to be open to discussion that is at the very least not laced with malicious pejoratives. You have shown yourself incapable of that when discussing trans issues.

Before I vote, I’d like to see people’s stance on how much modding they plan to do.
As i’ve said in the other thread. The only peaceful and tolerable equilibrium in this forum is under modding.
This was kinda my view—but I was only worried about Witchita because he has beefs with at least two posters, but he said in the Moderation thread that he will be chill.
L.Washington should probably get an avatar since SUB wasn’t sure who he was (although I can’t recall another yellow avatar).
Simplicitus should be modded with special kid gloves. Anyone stupid enough to type this shouldn’t be held to the same standards as a regular poster:

I’ve mostly reconciled with my few beefs to at least amicable. Simp on the other hand is something different entirely but he can keep embarrassing himself on his own. I wont be banning him.
