I don’t think I’ve ever over-ruled any other mod (and can’t really recall any mod over-ruling anyone else).
Honestly, other than CN and jmakin being unable to ignore each other, there hasn’t been much to mod recently.

You guys dont mod that at all. when have you modded that other than maybe banning me for responding to attacks? I have resorted to the following, because the unbelievable creep literally cannot help himself:
if he replies directly to a post of mine I feel I should be able to respond to it. the onus is entirely on him if he wants to stop this. I literally never reply to him unless he replies to me, and even then, in lots of those exchanges I end up stopping because he is fundamentally incapable of stopping unless he has the last word.
I would challenge someone to find a single post of mine that goes out of my way to engage him unless he engaged first. As usual you idiots blame the person being harassed for how they react to it and put all the responsibility there rather than the person who is instigating it, and then go and pretend you’re looking into it or dont know the backstory when you damn well do. I post here less because of it, which is what harassers and crybullies like him want, and I hope the new mods are at least a little more aware of the dynamic than blaming both people when the problem could be stopped by one side respecting another’s wishes to leave them the fuck alone.
I have repeatedly stated I absolutely want nothing to do with him. I never engage him first, i dont even do the thing he does and post dogwhistle bait shit indirectly referring to him. I’m capable of ignoring his idiotic posts or his dumb golf thread unless he directly replies to me. If I started a similar thread do you think he could stay out of it? of course not, because he’s a crybully. I dont even point out the petty shit about him spam liking my posts out of nowhere to get a reaction out of me or any number of passive aggressive petty bs he’s done, because I just ignore it. I literally only respond to posts he makes to me, often with “fuck off.” At one point I tried to take it to dm’s and he just posted the dm like i didnt know he’d share it to be a drama queen and because he’s a little bitch.
That’s the last I’m going to say about it in mod theads and I trust the new mods will be a little more fair in these types of dynamics. I’m literally fine and dont need anyone to protect me from that idiot, but I know it ruins forum discourse and I’ve caught ignores over replying to it, but again, that’s literally his goal and he knows it degrades the forum and continues to do so anyway. what does that say about someone like that?
It would be nice if you guys had a spine and acknowledged clearly observable things but I know that isn’t your style at all and maybe that’s where at least my vote is coming from.
I tried the “ignore” option and i almost never purposely read a post of his unless its in response to me because its the notifications in this software that are impossible to ignore, for whatever reason.
You can undo your vote, on desktop there’s a button below the poll labeled “< Vote” that should bring back the Yes and No radio buttons.
Fwiw, if I were a mod, I would allow his responses to you if they were contained to one particular thread or subject that he may passionately oppose you on. But it’s pretty obvious this isn’t the case. He seems to follow you around the forum and can’t let a post of yours go unreplied to as if he has some sort of a fetish. If you posted “I like sunny days”, he’d have some type of retort. This can only be construed as harassment and should moderated imo
It’s also worth noting that if I notice this, it must be pretty blatant because I pay little to no attention of the drama that goes on here
to the mods credit that seems to be the lol dems thread and theyve done an ok job of moving it there or to french bbv when it gets ugly. it’s not an unfair point he can reply to the views i have there, I’d just prefer it without the direct notifications and trolling. but he also rarely engaged on these topics in good faith, so i just dont want to deal with it.
I have at least 2 political threads I’d want to start I just dont because I know it’s going to invite responses from him. I guess we could just agree to disagree, but this is a political forum. I’d be open to literally any rule around this as long as I can post my views without being harassed. otherwise I usually just dont post.
I dont know how I could be better and also be true to myself and the views I hold, which clearly and obviously are not well liked by some people but I always try to argue them in good faith until its not good faith
Honestly my preference is to not have to do much, if any modding. Examples of when I would swing the hammer would be things like going after someone for their addiction making them and others feel unsafe to post about it or calling someone the F slur over and over again. Outside of stuff like that or someone doing something particularly egregious I’m hoping I don’t have to do much more than move the occasional thread derail.

Who called who the f-slur? I know businessgenius has used it, dunno if he called anyone other than himself that, and he is gay.
he spammed it against @otatop like 3 times in a row in the about moderation thread a few days back which is why he ate his latest ban.

I’m just curious if the reason behind this was just that you wanted to vote no on anyone whose posting you were unfamiliar with or you thought he might be a sock puppet.
I want a career poster with name recognition as mod, not some newbie real estate agent who was on tv a few times and I couldn’t be sure he/she was the former.
