There is left wing media. It has millions of views on Youtube and podcast downloads. It’s not surprising you don’t find it on cable television because young people don’t pay for that.
Pacifica radio and
Ah but see the dems threw the first punch when they compared an actual authoritarian regime to another authoritarian regime. In the Land of Both Sides, that means even Mr. Rogers can be compared to tyrants.
Remember when Matthews said Obama marched into Washington with the confidence of Robert E. Lee?
Twas such a lopsided victory by Obama, in fact one might say a lynching. He whipped McCain like a master whipping a slave!
Uh, you didn’t actually listen to/read the Mathews quote re: communism, did you? He was talking about Cuba. Just take a minute to think about this, you are jumping into a discussion about quotes you haven’t even bothered to listen to and about which you have made a bunch of inferences about their context and intent and are beside yourself angry with someone who has taken the time to listen to them, but disagrees with your assumed conclusions. Calm, the fuck, down. This is why the fucking internet is so god-damned toxic. Try not to be part of the problem, please.
Cuba is ranks higher than the US in a lot of important metrics despite the US trying to embargo them out of existence
I was reading the other day about cockroach infestations and how when they get going they are quite hard to stop. Reminds me of how Bernie won here in Nevada.
I did listen to it, dismembering which murderous evil dictator he was talking about does not change the point at all but good job ducking the actual point because you have nothing to say about that because you’re wrong.
Yeah the internet is toxic because they think comparing the democratic hopeful to murderous dictators is wrong. Just lol.
I am apart of the solution. The solution is taking away influence from disingenuous hacks like Chris Mathews who compare democratic leaders to murderous dictators, or saying the establishment dems need to conspire to beat him, and generally just attacking the leading democrat while we’re in a fighting fight for our democracy here. Because either thats what their corporate overlords want, or because he doesn’t want his taxes to go up, or just because he is buddies with DNC insiders who are afraid of losing their power.
The problem is people stanning for these corrupt morons and defending them and letting them stay on the air so they can continue to influence this country to be a shit hole so they can hoard all their wealth while poor people die from lack of medical care or live in poverty.
But nah, it’s all over like when the Nazis invaded France is completely innocent.
Centrists are melting down. I got into a facebook fight with like ten legitimate law professors at good schools that was an absolute pile on. These are good thinkers and not terrible people and theyre just all in om Bernie can’t win. I cited data which all points to Bernie being the best chance, and it gets dismissed by nothing but feelings.
You’re giving Matthews too much credit. He looooves mentioning that he’s reading history books at night to make sure he sounds super intelligent and sophisticated. He started this thing with, “I was reading this book…”
Stupid analogy to make in the context? Yes. Inappropriate? Absolutely. Comparing Bernie to the Nazis? Doubtful. One of many incoming Chris Matthews meltdowns? Likely.
Chuck Todd was the one with the brown shirt comment
He was quoting some writer.
Except he also compared Bernie to castro and people like him being executed in central park.
Once might have been a brain fart, twice is him deliberately comparing Sanders movement to the most evil " socialist " regimes in history. I mean its a common right wing trope right now to compare Bernie to evil socialism regimes too. Zero chance he’s doing this on accident.
He looooves mentioning that he’s reading history books at night to make sure he sounds super intelligent and sophisticated.
I was reading the Brookings institution’s book “Epidemic” last night and it struck me how Bernie’s breakthrough win here looks a lot like Ebola. I am smart.
The caucus last night was a real Bolshevik Revolution!
I was reading the other day about cockroach infestations and how when they get going they are quite hard to stop. Reminds me of how Bernie won here in Nevada.
Grunching, what does Bret Stephens have to do with the Nevada Caucus?
Tell Barrister Slapdick that Bernie is strongly against tort reform, maybe that will help
The Bernie movement reminds me of Penn State and Sandusky how the higher ups are pretending it’s not happening.
I was reading the Brookings institution’s book “Epidemic” last night and it struck me how Bernie’s breakthrough win here looks a lot like Ebola. I am smart.
You are illustrating a good point about why Matthews’ comments were offensive.
It is like a bunch of other debates for nuance that point to technically correct points as the sole justification for making otherwise patently offensive statements.
“I have justifications and good intentions” doesn’t make something okay. Pretty much everyone has justifications and good intentions, including the people who almost everyone agrees are among the worst people in history.
