Nevada Caucus tomorrow. Bernie essentially a lock to win barring some massive shenanigans. Notoriously a bad place to poll, but most polls showing Bernie in the 25%-30% range, and the other candidates all sitting around the 10%-20% range.
Precinct caucuses will be held starting at 10:00 a.m. local time (PST), with voting starting at noon on February 22.
I don’t know if anyone else listens to The Press Box podcast, but I plan on doing what they suggested and viewing tomorrows caucus like a golf tournament. It will be on my tv all day, but i’ll be doing other things in the meantime. Fun sweat, but not dedicating 12 hours to Chris fucking Matthews bullshit.
Bernie’s campaign is doing a massive voter outreach phone banking tomorrow to turn out supporters. Quick webinar at 11:15am EST, then it’s off to the races. Let me know if you’d like more details.
It got called for Hillary at 5pm EST last year and she only won 53-47. So I would imagine, if it follows a similar timeline, results could be coming in by 2 or 3pm EST and the call could happen anywhere in the 4pm - 8pm range if they don’t go the way of Iowa.
On the one hand turnout in early voting was really high, on the other hand they already have had time to count those. Then again, they have to then combine them down with the other results and begin the process of cluster-fuckery known as caucus math that includes people who are there and paper ballots from early voters. With that in mind…
So expect results to begin rolling in between 2 and 3pm EST and finish rolling in between 5pm EST today and like two weeks from now.
