If we assume all teams are fully healthy, I think Philly could be dangerousā¦ but a 100% Embiid is unlikely, Bron is a year older, and they havenāt played together yet, so who knows.

Re the Sixers, I just see a wide range of possibilities. All of their stars have a fairly high usage rate and like to have the ball. So, there is one world were there is team tension and a lack of off ball movement/ quick spot up shooting/etc. On the other hand, there is a good version where they can stagger minutes, optimize lineups to get good matchups, play a variety of paces, etc and that model would be a tough out in a 7 game series. And more generally, they are adding two big pieces while most of the other teams named are staying (mostly) stable, so I think itās just hard to know exactly how good or bad theyāll be.
(And agree about Brunson. Dude seems completely unbothered by everything).

Itās funny, until maybe the second year of Charles Barkley, I was a huge Sixers fan (Dr. J). I hated both the Lakers and Celtics with the passion of a thousand suns. I went to college in Boston toward the end of the Bird era, but still couldnāt bring myself to be much of a fan. Then I moved to LA in 1993, and they immediately became my favorite team, especially after Shaq got there. I couldnāt have cared less about the Sixers after 85 or 86 or whatever year that was. Seems odd. Iām no fan of ring and record chasing LBJ who has literally zero left to prove other than that he can actually hang it up, so he didnāt get them back in my good graces. I may be able to begin liking the Lakers again. My wife wouldnāt let me like them after what Kobe did to Shaq and then when Kobe was finally gone it wasnāt long after that LBJ showed up. Iāve always been a quiet fan of the Knicks for some unknown reason, so I was happy they won the title. Iāve also always hated the Spurs and that team is undeniably going to become one of my favorites because I love so much about them. That pisses me off too lol.
I think LBJ should move into mostly passing and see how it goes. He might surprise himself. I think he could probably make things easier for Embiid.
