I just think the clippers are fucked and the trade is not going to go through unless the clippers take a lot less. The newest allegations compounded with the original ones look really bad. That being said the collective owners don’t care about the integrity of the sport so nothing will probably happen.

Ballmer could spend a billion dollars to investigate every player and team and all their potential illegal dealings purely out of spite if he doesn’t like the punishment he gets.
Kawhi isn’t getting punished worse than Ballmer. Clippers are forfeiting some picks, Kawhi may have to pay back money, but in all likelihood isn’t missing any games.

Can someone explain the lakers? I thought the dodgers owner bought them recently but now they are sold to Josh kushner and Bob iger? Am I confused? Did the dodgers ownership realize they can’t just buy a championship?
Issue with forcing the sale is Ballmer also fully owns the arena and the NBA can’t force the sale of that so the Clips would probably have to play elsewhere.
Also, that seems like an insanely excessive punishment for cap cirumvention.

I don’t know, but if so I’m comfortable that they’re just covering their bases.
I don’t think it’s anything too nefarious. I think the current owner wasn’t as rich as he presented so took the chance to make a quick $2.5 billion profit.
Kushner was likely getting Vegas but decided better to pay premium for Lakers.
Lakers fans were all excited how they were going to get the dodgers scouting treatment and all the money spent on the front office. Now they are back to wondering what the new guys will do.
