My Bill Walton story:
When my wife moved with me to SD from Japan, she spoke no English and enrolled in an English language school. One of her classmates was an older French man who, along with his American wife, just happened to live directly across the street from Bill Walton.
Bill Walton lived in a massive compound complete with a home tennis court, and my wife’s classmate had a standing invitation to use the court any time. He invited us to play, and we happily accepted.
So we’re playing tennis on Bill Walton’s court. Next to the court, in an expansive wooded yard, is a huge Indian teepee. After a while, Bill emerges from the teepee, wearing his trademark Grateful Dead tee shirt, and begins sweeping the path with a broom, lumbering his way toward us. He is, of course, a giant of a man.
He reaches us. Wife’s classmate introduces us. He flashes us a huge grin and simply says, “Nice to see you!” as though we were the most important guests he’d ever received. And then resumes sweeping the path back toward his mansion beyond the wooded area.
I was too starstruck to attempt a conversation. It was a surreal, unforgettable moment.
R.I.P. Bill. Please get a rebound.

Refs were letting headshots go - Pritchard got kicked in the face earlier in the game, while shooting.
I think they let the McConnell one go because of that earlier call.
Trash-tier reffing all around. Nesmith having 0 fouls until the last minute was absurd.
I watch a few NBA games every year in the playoffs. The play seems sloppier and more disjointed every year. Just lots of guys standing around, one stumbling towards the basket then passing it out to the perimeter. Rinse and repeat. There doesn’t seem to be any rhythm to the game.
