Very real possibility if not statistically large. I do worry about this a little bit. I think two teams need to jump them and it’s the Knicks pick.
I only care because Mavs need more help ASAP and the nebulous belief next years draft is weaker than this years.
Wembayama probably going to be a bust anyways so why not let Dallas have him?
The Dallas pick is top ten protected. They are currently tenth. Only one team needs to jump them.

NBA should have docked the Mavs back to the 11th best lottery odds (same they would have had if they won) rather than just fining them $750k. I’m sure Cubes was perfectly fine paying that amount to increase his odds of keeping the pick by like 80%.
