This is one of a thousand reasons why no one pays me to coach. Horford+Rob Williams had like a 90 defensive rating over the last two games. It hadn’t been very good this year, obviously changed!

It hadn’t been good because Robert Williams has been coming back from injury. About halfway through this series was when it felt like he was starting to catch lobs consistently.

The DRtg for the two big lineups was definitely not as bad this year as I thought, though. You’re right that it likely improved during the year. It was 99 in big minutes last season, which was insane.

One last thing - refs get a lot of garbage, I want to compliment the ref that (A) didn’t fall for the Marcus Smart flop when he was defending Embiid (B) then called the foul on Smart when Embiid landed on him. That’s how we get rid of this. Really could have called a flagrant on Smart. They didn’t fall for Harden’s nonsense, either. Much better product that way.
