Reminds me luka missed another intentional free throw AND got the rebound himself again last night to close out the final seconds of a win where he had 51 points.
Guy is an expert free throw misser. What’s funny is San Antonio did the same thing previously and the mavs fouled them. But then they failed to make both free throws which then set up luka getting fouled and missing his on purpose too.
I don’t understand why more people don’t even attempt what Luka does there. I’ve been wondering about that for decades.
It has driven me crazy for years how bad NBA players are at intentionally missing free throws. How many goddamn times do the shooters cross the line before the ball hits the rim? Simple rule there, chief. So I say good on you, Luka, for giving a shit about it.

Yeah, this. Nearly every time I bring it up, someone comes over the top with, “It’s harder than you think”. Some of these guys can hit half court 3s in practice and you’re telling me they can’t hit the rim from the FT line if they want to?
Luka loves to mess around with crazy stuff. I have no doubt he has practiced bouncing off the front of the rim more than a few times.
How often should a player practice missed free throws to prepare for the possibility of having to do so in a game?
However much luka does I guess. I don’t know he practices it a ton specifically. I think he is always making weird shots at the basket. He does it constantly during down time in games, I suspect it is borderline annoying during practice. He is always trying to make weird shots.
As for everyone else? I don’t know if it really is worth it or not, but everyone should probably be skilled enough to hit the rim.
