I’m not a big believer in heliocentric players who can be hunted by the opposing offense. I want no part of Trae Young if I am building a team. I’m not yet convinced Luka’s regular season defensive improvement will transfer to the playoffs.
I like Luka as the centerpiece of a title team about as much as I like MVP Russell Westbrook in that role.
They just beat the team with the best record in the NBA before losing to the eventual champions. And that was with Jalen Brunson as their second best player.
That might end up being Luka’s playoff peak.

Going to be a lot of suspensions it seems. Obviously Hayes should be the biggest, but rumor is everyone who came off the magic bench will get at game.
Leaving the bench area is supposed to be an automatic one-game suspension. They might have to stagger those suspensions to make sure the Magic can dress enough players for games.
I actually used to really like Stockton. But I’m now firmly in the “Fuck that guy. I’m glad he never shipped it.” camp.
