This is going to be a persistent problem for pro sports. Franchises are play toys for rich assholes, there’s going to be a rich asshole scandal over year if people are going to look into the conduct of sports team owners.
It’s only a problem if sports league don’t learn to embrace cancel culture.
But they’re only going to sell teams to very very rich people that are interested in sports, which is basically a bottomless pit of deplorable assholes.
Even some deplorable assholes know how to keep their mouths shut. I don’t need them to be sincerely woke; I just need them to not piss me off.

I get it cause I don’t understand either how that forces owners to sell the team but far worse than that is a nothingburger like at least half the owners in pro sports are doing.
