National Basketball Association - 2022/23 Season (Part 1)

Yup. Bucks also crushed in a game where Giannis shot 36%, I picked Boston to win because of the Middleton injury but there just won’t be the same easy buckets Brooklyn gave up.

Those missed 3s also gave the Bucks just great transition opportunities

Said all year it would be Phoenix/Mil again, then wavered once Kris got hurt.

I knew it was, but I didn’t know that they changed the rules (again) so that they can’t automatically review that call.

As true in the NBA as it is in roulette.

The Mitten is a lot older than I thought he was. I had no idea he was almost 30.

You see how good the warriors looked tonight? They’re going to roll the suns up like a blunk and smoke them.

Prob warriors vs bucks. No idea how that goes. Dray the best defender in the league but he’s small compared to Giannis

Suns are quite a bit better than the Grizzlies.

Memphis was outplayed by the Wolves for 80% of that series, the Suns won 64 games.

It might not even be wrong for GSW to be favored over Phoenix. But, Memphis is clearly the 5th best team in the West imo. Minnesota outplayed them, Dallas is better.

I am still leaning towards suns in west.

I was kicking around this joke in my head but I never arrived at phasing this elegant to be worth posting. :+1:

On-court reactions as Giannis was finishing his self-oop:

feels like he’s overrated but there’s quite a few teams that might be interested. Down low defensive help these days against certain players in the league is in short supply. Issue is how he works offensively for those squads tho and what they want to do.

Will be interesting to see if he can carry this over to a very good defense in the suns, or a lot of that was just absolutely atrocious Jazz perimeter defense.

Will be interesting to see how the suns perform vs the Mavs. Can’t really use the bad match up excuse again because the Suns haven’t lost to the mavs since 2019 lol

Honestly I hope the suns dominate so we can get a hyped WCF, which the warriors will win in 6 :)

I think Mitchell is overrated. A big part of their 4th quarter collapsing is his hero balling. And he made comments that he will basically refuse to change. They’ve blown 4th quarters for years now, and Mitchell continues to just hero ball with defenses doubling him etc.

Ben Simmons for Rudy.

I am way down on Mitchell. He is a scorer who lacks efficiency and right now is a defensive liability.

If a team things they can scheme with Rudy in the playoffs I think he might be worth it. But his salary.,.

I think some bad team could end up with Mitchell and remain bad.

The Jazz are going to get rid of Rudy and try to build around Mitchell. They do need to get an elite rim protector to do so though. They just need one that can’t be so easily gameplanned around in the playoffs.

Rudy and Mitchell are both regular season stars whose value goes down in the playoffs due to playing style.

I read Hollingers athletic article on this and I just dont know who trades for Rudy. Maybe Atlanta would give up Capella and some smaller parts. They theorized Og+boucher+picks for Toronto, but I’m never doing that if I’m Toronto.

They also mention Charlotte for Hayward or Memphis for some depth pieces. Bleh for both sides.

I actually think I’d rather get rid of Mitchell because you might get a real haul.

All the deep analysis I’ve read about the jazz problems blame the rest of the jazz for their horrid defense which causes Rudy to constantly try to make up for it. Even I’m the playoffs.

Thinking Basketball on YouTube is amazing and they just bad a video on thus.

Rudy real problem is lacking offense but maybe someone like Trae would get him more involved

No great team of late or even finals team has had a starting center that immobile.

Antonio, Dray, Giannis, Bam just all better at switching.
