National Basketball Association - 2022/23 Season (Part 1)

Speaking of weird doubles, Josh Giddey with a 10 rebound/10 assist double-double today. No points. 0 for 8 from the field.

How is Giddey going? My local media constantly jerk off to him but they also do that for Simmons, Mills etc whenever they so much as breath.

Back in the 90s both Olajuwon and David Robinson quadruple doubled with blocks on top of the usual 3 categories. The 90s were really something at the center position.

i like giddey. kid got swag and a very interesting skill set. he is a terrible shooter but way better than what he was suppose to be at this stage

Profiles like a young (and much taller) Rubio, no?

I’ve hardly watched OKC so I don’t know how good he is defensively. The frame is obviously great for it.

I mean sure, but i can name a lot of players he has some resembles of. If he shoots under 40% from the field, 25% from 3p and 65% from the line he’s ngmi. He’s still very fun to watch.

Just realized this sub has a sports section. Came to say I used to be a basket fan and even played in elementary on a school team but fell out of it until like 2016 because of the warriors & steph

I’m a complete casual and mostly watch for curry and the warriors. When he’s on he is the most exciting guy in any sport ever imo. The way he changed the game from when I was a younger is amazing.

Obviously it’s hard to have the same impacts on the game as a smaller dude, but I think he’s the most skilled player of all time. Obv Jordan lebron and there are more impactful on defense and rebounds but dude is just beautiful to watch.

And the warriors system? My god. I hope klay comes back at 90% and we get more splash bros

Also he seems like a super good dude which is critical for me to enjoy you. It’s similar to which DJs I like. OBV the music is important, but some of my big name DJ friends I enjoy way more because I know they’re good people and I’m just so happy to see them succeed.

And how happy everyone is there. People take pay cuts to play with the warriors. Wild shit. The system is so beautiful too, and the gravity Curry has where people have to defend him at half court, and gotta double him deep sometimes. The system plus that I think makes average guys a lot better.

Started doing some private FanDuel contests with buddies and think I’ve watched more regular season NBA the last 2 weeks than I did in the previous 10 years combined. The product can be really good (Bucks Celtics Q4 on Xmas was fun). That’s all.

We should always remember that the warriors could have drafted lamelo ball

lamelo steph klay works fine imo, def as a closing lineup. lamelo has the potential to be a great defender too (he’s not one yet, but he certainly can be)

This shaping up to be stephs worst game ever
