The skeleton actually does the Captain America shield throw move in that scene! Ray Harryhausen was a goddamn genius, literally decades ahead of the game.

When I was watching I thought the shield throw was the highlight. Great action, especially around the shield throw.
Seventh Seal is a classic. Right up there with Last Year at Marienbad.

Wild Strawberries is my favourite of his. Another road trip for a dying man but nowhere near as stilted and baroque as Seventh Seal. Genuinely moving.
The last time I used baroque in a sentence was when describing the state of my bank account. A+

Wait, I passed over this part. Seven Samurai is fucking awesome. I say this as someone who took until a rewatch to really love it, but Iām there now and evangelizing for it like I would now with Fury Road.
