Why on earth do people keep making this bet with you? Almost everyone with some sort of gambling literacy, yet the basic risk vs. reward calculation is apparently totally out of reach.

I would pick something good that you would be dubious about, hoping you enjoyed it. That seems way more fun to me than just making the person eat shit.
(I will not make such a bet though.)

Now that youāve extended an indication that you would choose for me in good faith, I would consider it.
But I dunno what weāre betting on, and I would still be looking for a spot where I felt like I was going to win.

Let me know when it comes up. If I like the bet, Iāll book it. No reason not to gamble when losing isnāt going to hurt, but Iām still going to want a spot where youāll prob lose imo. Letās say Iāll take it in if itās 65/35.

I saw Spartan like 5 times in the theater, always looking for the twist that we finally realized on viewing 5 was never coming. It was not a standard Mamet movie.
Did his copy have Val Kilmerās commentary on it?

I had said for over a quarter century that the worst movie Iāve ever seen was Godzilla from 1998.
Emilia Perez is the only film since then that has made me question whether that was still true.

Transformers 2 is hands down the worst movie ever made, never to be surpassed. It has zero redeeming qualities. Its very existence is an affront to film as an art form.

Had always wanted to watch this, but never got around to it.
Itās an absolute blast for the first half to three-quarters of the film, but really struggles to stick the landing. Acting and directing are top-notch (unsurprising given the talent involved). The screenplay isnāt as clever as it wants to be. Nitpicking every fault isnāt really a lot of fun, but thereās a fair amount of stuff that doesnāt really make any sense if you think about it for a few moments.
Overall Iād still say I enjoyed it, but came away a little disappointed after the start was a home run.
