Wait, did PTA offer Leo the role??? Jesus Christ

Yes, I just worked on something for that movie and he badly wanted Leo.

Final Destination Bloodlines was decent.

At its core, Pink Flamingos is about Divine eating dog poop

Stealing this from one of my favorite 2p2 rants.

At its core, Whiplash is about a douchebag giving a blowjob to an asshole.

At their core, Jaws and Jaws 2 (which I just watched; lol me) are delphic visions of how a disrespected underdog can triumph TWICE over a relenting, seemingly-unbeatable monster, but–despite those 2 victories–still be viewed as a schlub whose victories are due to a combination of his actually-skilled teammates and ridiculously implausible trickery.

In other words, Chief Brody foretold Eli Manning, and the helmet catch was Jaws biting the high-voltage electric cable.

Today was a long day, so I am going with some trash tonight: Eli Roth’s The Green Inferno. Yes, the horror movie about cannibalism. May it help me shed the weight of today :folded_hands:

At its core, Jaws is about the wrong men for the job accidentally getting it right.

At its core, Armageddon is about trying to save the world in the most creatively dumb way imaginable.

At it’s core The Big Lebowski is just about The Dude wanting his rug back…it really tied the room together

Green Inferno was awful. I would honestly not recommend this to anyone.

Also I rewatched the first Avengers with commentary by Joss Whedon. This is back when Marvel still did commentary tracks for MCU releases. First of all, it remains a GOAT movie. Even though Joss Whedon turned out to be an asshole, he’s a great storyteller, and that shines through both in the movie and the commentary track.

Huh. Very rare they do this the same year a movie was released. Looking forward to it though.
