Yeah I mean I know it won’t get a nom for best pic, though I think it should. But it should get at least a nom for best actress, best supporting actress, and best supporting actor.

Really? With the long ass list of nominees for best picture these days, I think it would have a decent shot of getting a nom.
Its certainly best picture through the first half of the year. We will see how it holds up once the serious oscar bait pics hit near EOY

Face Off still holds up pretty well after all these years. We were only really cringing at the blood typing scene, and the exploding boats were clearly way over the top. Slo mo action sequences were refreshing after so many movies that make it so fast as to lose sight of what’s happening.
My penance for getting MrsWookie to watch this one is, naturally, that next is Paddington 2.

Face Off is one of those rare movies that is inexplicably great even though on it’s surface there’s no reason to expect it to be good. Like when I convinced my wife to watch Point Break. I mean, it’s a movie about surfer bank robbers and it’s got BOTH Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze. It must be awesome, right?

I still maintain Point Break is among the greatest action movies of all time. I love it!
