ah I didn’t know that she had alopecia. Well that’s probably gonna be enough for everyone to move on, and maybe the backstory is horrendous and it’s an understandable protective reaction, but in the moment will smith came off as disturbed leaning towards deranged imo
Well, I watched a movie instead of watching a movie awards show.
The Adam Project
Ryan Reynolds goes back in time to fix a bad guy problem and teams up with his 12-year-old self. It was quite entertaining, though I didn’t expect it to hit me in the feels as much as it did. In fact, there’s more of that than there is action. And the action is pretty good.
Expect lots of Ryan Reynolds quips (I like him). The humor and action has a bit of a Guardians of the Galaxy feel (soundtrack, too), which I guess fits, since it stars Deadpool, Hulk, and Gamora.
The one thing I didn’t like about it: the CGI on the “young” version of Catherine Keener was distracting. I think it was a deep fake rather than de-aging, but I’m not sure.
Watching those clips, it’s weird. Will Smith genuinely seems upset, Chris Rock seems genuinely stunned, and people around Smith seemed stunned, as well (and his wife seemed pissed), but the slap didn’t connect and looked staged.
