I have decided to step down as a Moderator as of today the 4th Of July
I would like to take the time to thank the community for having trust in me to be a moderator from the time of leaving 22 on to exiled and then here, this community is a great resource and a dam fine place to visit and Mod.
With our 2 new moderator’s and the existing Mods we have IMO a great team onboard & it’s with that confidence in the community that I can step away knowing the forum will be in good hands moving forward.
There’s no reasons other than it’s time for a change and I think having another European or no_American as a moderator is appropriate.
I won’t nominate anyone, but would like to see someone from that demographic stepping up IF a replacement is indeed needed.
I’ve enjoyed my time as a Moderator and will obviously continue to post here, thanks to all for the PM’s during this time good or bad And as I’ll be back at work next week its a good time to step away from responsibility here and concentrate IRL.
This is an automated message from Unstuck Politics Forum to let you know that your account has been temporarily placed on hold as a precautionary measure.
Please do continue to browse, but you won’t be able to reply or create topics until a staff member reviews your most recent posts. We apologize for the inconvenience.
That’s the current notification that gets sent. It can be changed or customized.
After quick test, silencing seems preferable to me in place of temp suspensions. Suspended users get logged out but can still see the site. Seems kind of dickish to block somebody’s access to PM’s, etc if they can still see all the public stuff and you know they’re going to be allowed back soon. Silenced users can do anything but post.
Geez, it’s like people don’t even know about all the obscure HTML tags that can be used on the forum that some of us have been fully aware of since this morning.
