"Missing" persons and other murder mysteries

You’re looking for rationality when it’s likely just a narcissist that couldn’t deal with his only future being prison.

Maybe gator got him and dragged him into the water.

Or Dog found him and accidentally killed him while trying to arrest him or whatever he calls what he does then panicked and dumped his body before going back to Colorado with a story about spraining his ankle while actually preparing to go on the run in Mexico.

Any chance the parents killed him and just dumped the body? Perfect crime imo.

The satellite images where the body was found look to be very near houses and shit.

Just think, the Seminole Indians hid from the US government in the Everglades for like a generation while being hunted by the military.

I haven’t been in this particular preserve, but if you don’t have a compass or other way to navigate, you could easily get lost and die in the swamp within 100 yards of civilization. Places like Fakahatchee Strand are seriously dangerous. It is so easy to get completely turned around in there.

Called it weeks ago. This isn’t the 70s where you could pull a Ted Bundy and travel cross-country to avoid the feds.

I think the parents killed a drifter and left parts of the body near some of their son’s belongings in the swamp, then directed police to the area.

What if Dog just straight-up murdered the dude. Perfect crime.

Read to the end for what seems like a good summary of some recent events …

Unless the teeth turn out to match a bite mark on Dog’s ankle! That would simultaneously be a twist on man bites dog and a data point in the question of what size dog a man can best in a fight to the death.

Skeletal remains a month after he goes missing? Do bodies decompose that quickly? And how does the water/environment affect decomposition?

Between that, the dad being the one who found the bag, cadaver dogs not picking up a scent just a couple days ago in the same spot…it all seems super suspect.

Wikipedia says weeks in a hot humid climate. So maybe.

FBI was tired of being embarrassed. Took the body of someone they’d recently murdered and relocated it near area they would be searching. Re-opened the park knowing the parents would come look, make sure you put them in the search zone that find the stuff/body. Boom, all the suspicious falls on them.

Buy a bunch of his shit you saw in pictures and put it with the cadaver

“Dental records”

Like the psychopath parents couldn’t just bribe the son’s dentist…

Not convinced.

Anyone hear about that family that was found dead , including their dog, in the wilderness and they couldn’t figure out how they died?

They thought maybe co2 or a deadly algae from the area but none of those panned out. Ended up they all died from hypothermia and dehydration. Very said. People were speculating a lot of things because of the way the bodies were found.

Is hypothermia a stage of heat stroke? Says it was like 109 when they were hiking

The area where they were hiking had temperatures between 107 degrees and 109 degrees at one point and there was little shade, Mariposa County Sheriff Jeremy Briese said.

So they were on a trail and died only 1.5 miles from their vehicle? That just sounds crazy. I guess they were so fucked up from the dehydration and overheating they couldn’t think.

Insane you would put yourself in that situation with a baby. Especially for someone who seemed pretty smart.
