Welp
Um, an explanation?
An explosion in Beirut, seemingly.
Yes, Beirut. Just happened minutes ago, no other information available.
Israel do it?

goddamn thats a big explosion
Here’s Al Jazeera live if like me you don’t have cable or a streaming service:
Is that a hotel? Or a shipyard? It’s really hard to tell.
Jfc that explosion is massive
That is an absolutely massive explosion. Any info on what the facility was? It was clearly on fore before so not a bomb drop, right?
It seems to be at the port.
It’s the port area. Dunno which building(s).
Could be either way. Bomb drop on some ammonium nitrate storage/or weapons storage facility?
I’m really really really hoping it was just something like a fire at a fuel facility.
Yeah, me too. Netanyahu has been threatening like a mofo the last few days. There was allegedly an attempted attack on Israel on Sunday.
That’s nuts. Given it’s at a port I’m guessing it will be an accident of some kind. All kinds of highly explosive material passes through these ports.
Fuck me that second shock wave.
Fucccccckkkkk
Al Jazeera says there are local reports of it being storage for firecrackers? Surely that wouldnt be enough to create an explosion like this?

I mean could be, look at all the little explosions.
BBC News reports an unconfirmed second explosion at the home of former prime minister Rafic Hariri. A UN tribunal is supposedly close to a verdict in a trial in absentia of four Hezbollah members accused of assassinating him in a 2005 car bombing.
