If that picture is meant to be representative of the coming movie in any way, hopefully it really is set in the 1960s at around the time the Fantastic Four’s first comics came out. Feels like creative restraint is in order here; let the Fantastic Four cook and make a great truly stand-alone movie, and then tie them into the broader MCU story later. Putting them in a time when no MCU character (outside of Peggy Carter anyway) is around and unfrozen would be a good way to keep them clear of everyone else for a little bit.
Eh, there’s only so far you can take a bit like that where you’re constantly pulling the rug out from under the audience and having be not what it seems.
I do hope they go more heavy on x-men/F4/other in the future though.
I would only pull the rug out once, but it would take more than one movie to resolve the fallout from having multiple heroes revealed. As it is, we got a bunch of rugs pulled that no one cares about. It’s like they wanted to make a TV show that felt essential but wasn’t going to affect anything.
Oh wow if they can bring Spider-Man back for his intersections with FF
X-Men in particular have so many different big bad people or just situations that they could easily get another ten years of peak franchise. Here’s hoping they don’t eff it up.
I guess the interesting part is not casting Doom as of now.
Ben Mendelsohn is campaigning for it.
Doesn’t look like Dr. Doom will be the archvillain for the first one if this report is credible.
We already have the Roger Corman Fantastic Four movie that the cowards refuse to release. There are like dozens of fans hyped for this movie!
The first two F4 movies aren’t good, but I’d argue this scene is amazing and proves the appetite is there for a proper depiction of Galactus and Silver Surfer.
The last line of the Punisher review is amazing.
Dang, Lucille Bluth was smokin hot in that Dr Strange flick
OMG Morbius is on Disney+
It’s finally Morbin time!
Oh yes and I hear it’s unforgettable
I will never forget how Anthony Jeselnik milked weeks of podcast material out of Morbius.
Just watched The Marvels on Disney Plus. Cute movie. The Khan family dynamics are very entertaining. The movie wisely keeps them around through the action, even when it doesn’t really make sense. That describes a lot of The Marvels, fun ideas and character interactions draped over a slapdash plot.
I’d rank this one in the middle of the Marvel pack. I’d like to see these movies step back from galaxy-destroying stakes to something a bit more grounded. For Captain Marvel specifically, they need to get away from the Kree / Skrull stuff, which is just so boring.
Possible interest in a revival of Agents of SHIELD?
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. could be making a comeback, according to Marvel Studios Head of Television Brad Winderbaum.
Speaking to Agents of Fandom on YouTube, Winderbaum, who is also the head of Animation and Streaming, hinted at the potential revival once the studio’s current projects are complete. “We’re in production on Daredevil: Born Again in New York,” he said. “They’re shooting as we speak. I’m seeing text messages come up from the set. [Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.] is probably the next show that [we’re] going to kind of revisit and revive… a really strong… and one of my favorite pockets of our universe and our fandom. And… you never know is the answer!”
I mean, I enjoyed it! In a sort of campy way, but nevertheless.
It was a good campy show. I enjoyed it.
