Editing a flagged post that is automatically hidden by flags will make it un-hidden, but it is supposed to remain in the moderation queue.
I assume that the rationale is that people will edit their problematic post to something that is acceptable. If you unhide the post by leaving the objectionable content and adding an extra space or something then you’re not really using that feature in good faith.
