as bad as roberts pitching changes usually are hes been good at calling offensive plays. bottom of the order getting two men on was huge then a good sac bunt play by pages set that up. bottom of the order has been solid
i’m not sure you should take snell out there. even at 100 pitches he was dotting the zone and clearly was locked in and they could barely break 80mph on contact against him. the analytics say switch but you probably could just leave him in for the shutout
So a crazy-ass double play is batters failing, but walking in a run isn’t the pitcher failing?

Pretty cool visual of how it all went down. I would have thought Teoscar got much further down the line initially, but he was really only a few feet off the base. It really shows how much of a momentum killer it is to start/stop/re-start down the line.

Side to side he called balls as strikes that were well outside the zone, but he called marginal strikes balls in the same area.
I wonder if RHP vs LHP and or RHB vs LHB play into that.

Active rosters are way closer. The difference between Dodgers and Brewers is almost $200M.
The big thing for the Dodgers now is that their pitchers are healthy. They are running #1 guys out there every night. It’s a different team than the one that slumped mid-season.
