damn all games for the Mās are against the rangers/astros. Well at least they donāt have to worry about anything else you miss the playoffs your own fault.
Cubs have atl/mil at the end of the year, well if they canāt beat teams not playing for anything to get in same deal.
The rangers bullpen is atrocious. The mariners were no hit for 4 or 5 innings and down 8-0 at one point and still made it interesting once the rangers went to the bullpen. Rangers will be the most entertaining team in the playoffs.

starter gave up a 3 run bomb, and got charged for 4 runs, but the bases were loaded and they got out of it. Then nothing until aroldis came in the 9th.
Looks like Reds are going to quietly choke themselves out. In the swing game against Twins, Hunter Greene was having a career game (14 K, 1 ER) and gets pulled after 7 on 92 pitches with a 3-1 lead. Previous two starts were 98 and 109. He canāt give you another inning+ here in a must-win game? The bullpen is completely torched from overuse and running on fumes. Gibault gives one back in the 8th and then the closer Diaz three more in the 9th before getting hooked.
Then last night they blow three different leads against the Pirates with the bullpen coughing up five more ER. The starter (Abbott) is a rookie with an innings restriction and gets pulled at 4.1 / 84. The bullpen is completely dead. Greene missed a good chunk of the season so itās not an innings issue for him. Bell said in an interview that heās managing every game like itās the playoffs haha.

Iām a Reds āfanā but not more than Iām a fan of baseball in general, and I donāt really want to see them sneak in unless two of the other teams are injured to a degree Iām not aware of. Reds are extremely injured right now and the bullpen is dead due to covering innings for injured starters. Their best player (McLain) has been out for a month and wonāt return until Tuesday, but I donāt think thatās enough to make them more formidable at this point. AORN Iām voting Snakes / Cubs.
Giants & Friars technically still drawing live I guess but looks grim for them. Going to be crushing if Seattle doesnāt make the cut.

His fWAR extrapolated to 162 is > 2 even with the bad hitting. Thatās how much of a floor he has just from the speed and defense. Itās the pure hitters with awful defensive metrics Iād be most worried about, but casual fans are dumb. Like remarkably ignorant about baseball value even this many years later after Moneyball. Going to any MLB game and hearing people talk about baseball is quite an experience.
