He spelled it wrong. Im pretty sure its Gardenhoser
Rosinbagger
Lol Padres. +60 run diff, 8 games under .500. Incredible. I dont even understand how thats possible.
0-12 in extra inning games is one big reason.
oh so now ohtani is a QUITTER
anyway the padres are 8 games below .500 and 65 runs more than opponents
the brewers are 13 over .500 and only 54 runs more than opponents
also my plus/equal key doesnāt work on this keyboard do I care to fix it? probably not
also still tilts me the Cubs are taking a near auto loss with Tallion in a playoff race even though $ wise, Iād actually prefer reds or dbacks to take that spot.
I think Webb may end up with the least run support of any 10 game winner ever. Another whopping 1 run of support today
AL West / Wildcard gonna be a fun stretch run
Cole perfect through 5.
I repeat: Gerrit Cole has thrown five perfect innings.
Anyone here frequent Dodgers games in LA? Staying a few miles away with a rental car wondering if parking is the play or if Uber/Lyft is viable? Saturday if that mattersā¦
Are you staying downtown? If so, or if youāre nearby, thereās a free shuttle that runs from Union Station to Dodger Stadium and back after the game. Iād recommend that above driving or Ubering. If thatās not an option, Iād say driving and parking is the best option. Look on Stubhub to see if you can get a cheap space in once of the reserved lots closer to the stadium. Uber/Lyft is possible, but the dropoff/pickup lot is pretty far from the stadium (they actually might have to drop you outside the gates now) and after the game is a total shitshow. If you do Uber after the game, walk out of the stadium on Vin Scully Blvd to Sunset and get one there rather than the official Uber lot.
Let me know if you have any other LA questions.
Sounds awful.
Oh man, thanks, really appreciate the info. We are staying at the Omni which is apparently 2 miles from the stadium. No clue whether that is remotely walkable/safe. Looks like itās 1.1mi from there to Union Station so maybe that could be the play?
Happy for a afternoon food recommendation - weāll be off a cross country flight then going to a ballgame so probably not something super upscale. Saw something about Grand Central Market, but no clue if that is a trap. Should have plenty of time so could go anywhere really. Just needs to pair well with a Dodger Dog, ldo.
OK, so youāre staying downtown. 100% do the shuttlle from Union Station. You could walk there but Iād probably Uber. The area in which youād be walking isnāt too sketch, but I donāt think Iād walk back at night.
Grand Central Market is what I was going to recommend, itās in my top places to take out of towners. Itās great. If Angels Flight is running make sure you take that down/up between GCM and the Omni.
The Broad Museum is a short walk from your hotel. Itās free but you need reservations. Probably too late to get a reservation, but you should check. Thereās a walk-up line for people who donāt have reservations but it can be long.
MOCA is also nearby, also free, and will be easier to get into, but the collection at the Broad is far superior.
Disney Hall is also near you, at least check out the outside.
If you end up wanting sushi at any point when youāre downtown, go to Sushi Gen in Little Tokyo.
Iām a lover of downtown LA so have as many recommendations as anyone could want.
You sir are a gentleman and a scholar. Greatly appreciated. Weāre only in LA for a day/night and then heading down the coast toward Pacific Beach and Coronado for the rest of the trip. Filing all that data away tho, again I thank you.
Sean Doolittle announced his retirement. Good dude. Wrote a nice parting speech:

The closing line to his wife is sweet: āSorry I made you nervous when I pitched. I was nervous too.ā
The Brewers, one of the worst hitting teams in the league, just scored 12 in the second inning.
Rowdy Tellez just struck a guy out in the 9th. Brewers clinched a playoff berth. Need one more game for the division.
