Major League Baseball (Part 1)

agree with this and tend to think he’s not going to find a new MLB home either although I’m usually wrong about these sorts of things

Ohhhhh snap.

Did the Giants do something right for once?

Is Correa’s career over or something?

Apparently he only has one leg.

I would have thought the Mets agreement would have included less stringent physical requirements or something. Surprised Boras would allow this to happen to him again.

Good thing he opted out. What a moron.

boras said there’s no “current” issue. makes me assume that there’s something degenerative that makes a 13-year contract bad.

Everyone on a 13 year contract has a degerative issue - getting old.

I sure wouldn’t put up a 13 year contract for a player for that much in a declining sport don’t blame the stingiest owners on that one.

I wouldn’t give ANYONE a 13 year contract.

theres been quite a bit of reporting on this, he had a leg injury in the minor leagues and the teams are worried about his leg holding up over the long, long term. supposedly the doctors doing the physicals saw something in the imaging that is a problem

Crazy that this is still unresolved

I mean they’re either trying to work the contract to a lower number or trying to find a doctor to clear him to avoid a lower contract.

Also, this seems like malpractice on Boras’s part. This second attempt has effectively tanked Correa’s value on the market.

Technically it’s Joe Randa.

Sox sign Devers. 11/331. Ton of money and ton of years but I think it’s a good signing. He should be plenty productive for the majority of that deal

I wonder if anyone still thinks throwing baseballs at people’s bodies on purpose is cool.

Like 75% of the population at least

Only if they don’t Play The Game The Right Way.
