Here’s whats gotten me a little emotional last night and today. Meet my dog, Utley. He was born in 2008 when the Phillies last won the World Series. He passed away this year. The Phillies bookending his life with WS titles would be perfectly poetic.

I’m not a player, at the MLB level or otherwise, so I can’t really say anything as a fact. My strong feeling is that us fans way overestimate the advantage sign stealing gives to the batter.

But for the record, I was mostly amused at the notion of the Phillies being an Underdog in anything other than the literal sense of not being favored in the betting markets.
87 wins and last team into the NL playoffs vs. 106 wins and the second best record in baseball.

Wish I could heart this more than once. 
WS tickets are starting to become available. My friend who I went to the NLCS with is going to Game 5. I’d be going as well if I wasn’t leaving the country on Sunday. Never would have imagined when I booked this trip that it would interfere with being able to see the Phils in the world series. Weird mixed emotions with excitement for my trip paired with severe FOMO on the experience and hopeful celebrations.
