Major League Baseball (Part 1)

But would Freud say?

Sometimes a tootsie roll is just a tootsie roll

Tastes fishy.

Man when I was a kid I LOVED getting my Baseball Weekly to read. Now the kids these days have their Tik Toks and phones and everything is going to hell in a handbasket if you ask me.

A lot to give, but probably what the Pads need to get into and through the post season. Will be curious to see how LA responds.

Guess they couldn’t force them to take Corbin.

Seems Nats got a decent return, but like this trade for the Padres. Not often you can get a top 5 players when he’s still 23.

I’ll take the reigning world champion Braves core over the Padres, Dodgers, Judge, or anyone else’s, thanks.

Austin Riley signed a 10 year 212M deal. We’ve now locked up him, Acuna, and Albies basically forever, as well as the rest of Olson’s prime.

Shaping up to be a pretty nice decade for Braves fans

So Eric Hosmer was suppose to be traded to the Nats. He refused (why does Eric Hosmer gets to refuse a trade?), Nats get Luke Voit instead. Hosmer gets traded to the red sox.

If i’m luke voit im punching hosmer in the face before packing my stuff

He had a no trade clause. The team should have asked him before they made the deal.

yeah it wasn’t a literal question

Hosmer had a limited no trade clause from MLB rules if you are a vet they let you pick some teams to not get traded to without approval

he had the nats on it, did not have the red sox

also the padres acquire everyone latest being drury from the reds

may be wrong but I think the reds just fleeced the crap out of the twins there

Padres really shooting their load here.

They’re gonna suck ass for a while if they don’t get a WS this or next season.

If they didn’t trade Hosmer now, he’d have been a 10-and-5 player and could veto any trade after the season. Padres definitely didn’t want a $13M bench player for the next three years.

MLB.com is having a sale for $20 on the single team broadcast plan through the end of the season.
I just subscribed to be able to watch the Mets, since in the last month the pirated streams have been crashing almost every inning.

Edit:. Of course, since I live in NoVA, tonight’s Mets game in D.C. is blacked out

They’re paying almost his entire contract for the Red Sox so they just really cared about the roster spot.

In hilarious news, the Royals have traded Whit Merrifield to the Blue Jays. That’s the same guy who was one of like 15 Royals who couldn’t make it to Toronto to play against the Blue Jays because he wasn’t vaccinated against COVID.
