Baseball should keep going imo. It’s a large enough sample size of human guinea pigs doing regular testing that we might find out for sure if covid is contagious before our tests can reliably find it. Or we can realize having dozens of people regularly getting on a plane together is a bad fucking idea.

Yesterday my noble and brave dog’s new Reds won Sabo Bowl #10000. Now, ~shudder~, this great and wise beast has Yapping|Taunting Rights over me. He can bark whenever he feels… while I can only address him with well earned respect. So far: he’s only done two quick yaps at ~6am (which I would never have allowed if it was up to me).
It’s time for my new Cubs to “flip the script” on my very smart little dog. The stakes are even getting huger… as the winner of Sabo Bowl #10001 will retain Yapping|Taunting Rights until the next scheduled Sabo Bowl on August 28th. And… likely until 2023 if this covid corrupted campaign ends before that date.

The Phillies are scheduled to host Toronto this weekend in a series that was originally scheduled to be on the road but had to be switched because the Blue Jays’ temporary ballpark in Buffalo, New York, isn’t ready.

This is a great illustration of how it spreads. No one got it from the field. One Phillies clubhouse guy who went into the Marlin’s clubhouse got it. Then he spread it asymptomatically to however many on the Phillies and it remains to be seen if they spread it on to more.
Fucking clubhouses man. Just lock them up. Players can change in the bullpen or something. Shower at home.

Just assign every player a luxury suite as their personal locker room. Not like they are using them for anything else.

Just spitballing, seems like every mlb park has a nice hotel(s) close to their stadiums where visiting teams stay.
These are usually high end facilities. Seems even if not changed at home players could have rooms at these hotels and go there on game day (hopefully through a back entrance with no contact except some security). After they are ready transpiration would take them to the ballpark to play and not hang out in clubhouse for five hours. I would envision these transportation guys being extremely controlled. Daily testing, PPE, transport players one at a time. Thorough disinfecting of vehicles between rides.
There are some cases where rides would be unnecessary to get from hotel to stadium.
I know MLB has now said each team will have compliance officers, we will see how that works out. When I see clearly designated seating for players on both teams to be seated far apart and using masks and never congregating, I will believe it.
Edit: two others said essentially same thing but more succinctly. It is pretty disturbing that this never seemed to have even been really considered.
