I must be the only one who thinks this is a good idea. It would be nice if they mentioned how MLB juiced the ball several seasons ago, and that’s why homers went up as much as they did.
all these runs and no dingers, different game played these days than the steroid era
Of course Geno is killing the ball in noted hitter’s park [checks notes] Seattle after being dumped for salary. Who could have thought the MLB leader in home runs since 2018 might recover from a shoulder injury and hit the ball again?
(xwOBA sort)
Where you gonna go? Well, Seattle I guess, because they’re an out-of-market team I’m actually allowed to watch.
I’m not really religious but can’t help but notice its the Guardians/Angels tonight on the coast.
Sportswriters have decided that HRs went up in the 2000s because Barry Bonds is mean and STEROIDS BAD and BUNTING GOOD. The Steroid Era provided unprecedented Old Baseball Writer Moralizing opportunities, they are never walking that back.
I think it’s good.
Baseball is too one dimensional. Anything that can weaken the three true outcome playing style is good to me.
Everyone involved is bad and should feel bad.
Yeah lol Hasse and all
But good job Soto. Come in after a huge 3 run bomb by Baez and go

ball smashed into gap for what should have been a double with guys on 2nd and 3rd and no outs in a 4-4 game
Bauer with a two year, no credit suspension. Last I saw prosecutors declined to press charges right? There’s going to be a big union fight over that move.
Oh such an innocent time.
Thought it was pretty funny in a cheesy way.
Every other picture/video of Yankees fans is fighting for second place.
Pboi was so good that that is only like the 5th best article ever from that group.
And of course Jon Bois’ post Progressive Boink work fills a list on its own.

Citi Field is deep but holding a 109 / 25 is crazy. It’s tough to hit a ball better than that. On the other hand, there are dudes who have hit them nowhere near as pure and have easily flown out. My surprised level will be zero if it turns out they somehow introduced a ton of variance into batted ball flight.
