At this point, I think this might be the best year any player has ever had. The guy is going to have 50 HR’s, 20 steals, and 10 wins.
Oh wow the lack of embedded tweets is really hurting my ability to follow shohei home runs
Lmao that first strikeout. It’s 93 at the top of the zone and Vasgersian says “What was that pitch?” Then he says the splitter doesn’t generate many swings and misses and Ohtani proceeds to strike out every batter with it.
lol umps. how is this a real game with billions of dollars riding on it
I checked out the ump scorecard because it looked like there were a lot of bad calls in that game. The ump’s overall accuracy was ok, but it he had a REALLY wide strike zone. His accuracy on pitches outside the zone was bad. Both teams were “minus” because he favored the pitchers so much.
His three worst calls were all strike threes on Brewers hitters (not that the team means anything - just noting it). Saw someone had a theory that this ump must love his strikeout call, so he got excited when there were two strikes. Thought that was funny.
Arenado also got ejected for arguing with the first base ump (I don’t know if that ump was bad or not).
EDIT: IIRC, Garcia homered on the next pitch to tie it after Narvaez got booted.
I’m all over the theatrical strikeout call theorem.
I miss Kolten Wong
In denying the order after a four-day hearing, Judge Dianna Gould-Saltman said that according to the 27-year-old San Diego woman’s testimony, Bauer followed her boundaries when she set them, and he couldn’t know the boundaries she didn’t express to him.
So a judge decided a person didn’t need a stay away order from someone who has stayed away? The whole temporary protective order reeks of manipulating the judicial protective system to generate evidence. (best case scenario. worst case scenario is disgusting)
I was at that Rickey game! One of my baseball highlights.
That is pretty much my understanding. He is not a current threat so there is no need for a restraining order.
Still could be criminal charges coming and I’m no lawyer but I would have to think that is less likely to happen given the ruling today.
Still Bauer isn’t going to be playing MLB baseball anytime soon.
