I am a “Big Hall” guy because I think excellence should be celebrated, but Concepcion seems like a poor candidate. The best argument for him is that he compares well to some players who were put in that really shouldn’t have been, like Rizzuto, or pretending that he stacks up to someone like Ozzie Smith (who’s WAR was almost double).
I mean, adjusted for ERA his career looks a lot like Rafael Furcal. Very fine player, sure. HOF, no way.
