Lol Dodgers.

As a Giants fan…

I am perfectly ok with this.

In what universe is Pujols signing with an NL team a +EV decision for anyone other than that team’s rivals?

Funny part is he’s decent if he’s facing LHP 1 or 2x a week. I mean he still sucks but MLB is hitting like .230 now. Batting .200 now isn’t like batting .200 10 years ago or something. Dodgers will probably be happy with 10 Home Runs over the year.

I know 1b isnt the most difficult position in the world to play but when was the last time he played the field?

Baseball Reference says he played 1B all this year.

Yes, Shohei is their everyday DH.

Dodgers signing Pujols

Pujols has been absolutely terrible these last two years. OBP under .300 with mediocre power is not playable at 1B. I know Dodgers have tons of injuries, but there have to be better options out there.

This is a cool play.

I genuinely have no idea how that’s a fair ball

That RF pole has been completely ridiculous forever and that’s not even teh fly ball to LF = HR nonsense in that park.

To get an idea of why that catch by Willie Mays is considered the greatest of all time, this is where he caught the ball. It’s basically 75 feet farther than any catch you see at the wall in today’s ball parks.

Imagine hitting the ball that far and it’s an out LOL.

Then he turns around at throws it 350 feet in on the fly

I can’t find an answer as to whether anyone ever caught a fly ball out in Monument Park in the pre-1970s Yankee Stadium.

OK I am now convinced my fantasy teams are cursed. I mean WTF.

In other new Pujols is starting for the Dodgers tonight and batting cleanup.

Kevin Pillar got hit in the face and there was so much blood.

Walked off on his own though.

omfg trout is my highest owned player today and he just hurt himself in the first inning walking off the field. literally he was walking after a fly ball and sprained his ankle or something and taken out
