lol The Uek. Love the personalities in baseball.

who are some of today’s? Puig? Votto, Greinke … common denominator there

I can’t believe uecker is still breathing let alone cracking jokes.

I thought he was old 40 years ago.

Can’t go into the clubhouse? Guess he’s stuck just a bit outside.

Yeah, I agree that there are pitchers today capable of a 10 inning post season outing. But with a 1 run lead in an elimination game, I just doubt any manager today would let them.

Is there a way to easily check if any 9+ inning start with a 1 run lead in the past 30 postseasons?

And the manager would usually be right. Most bullpens have a couple of elite arms that can be relied on in high leverage situations, and we know better today than we did in 1991 how much worse starters are when they have thrown over 100 pitches.

Not a good start to the season:

A lot of players are probably in good enough shape and minimal enough symptoms but the issue is spreading it to those who can’t fight it off easily.

I feel like all these sports are pushing trains down tracks that end in the side of a mountain.

Why is anyone going to let the blue jays play in their facility. These team sports are just not cut out for this.

Is it against the rules to throw your glove in the air to try and knock down a ball that is going to be a home run?

Yes.

It shouldn’t be

Imagine Aaron Judge launches a bomb deep to center. It’s headed 20 rows back. Mike Trout, standing on the warning track, throws his glove straight up, the ball hits it, and Trout catches the ball before it hits the ground. Judge is out. I’d tune in for that.

Even though it is illegal, this would still be a good play. The penalty for throwing your glove is 3 bases to the other team. So if Trout succeeded here, Judge would automatically be granted third, and if he tried for home he could be thrown out.

It can change fast in the last few minutes, but right now there’s a decent overlay shaping up for the $1m contest on Draft Kings. $10 entry fee.

I predict in 2-3 years, glove-throwing will be the “going for it on 4th and 1 on your own 40” of MLB.

there’s also a pretty big freeroll ($3 entry with $3 guaranteed cash) and I got an offer to get $10 entry to tomorrow’s tournament if I play today’s event, so double freeroll.

They’ve gotta be disappointed with the entry total. Obviously they expected more.

it’s an awful slate, but i did put a few teams in just for the overlay and freerolls
