Just random observation. I didn’t reply to her yesterday and she still hasn’t messaged me. I’d think a scammer who out in all that work already would push to keep the connection going

Situation just kind of fascinates me. I don’t think . anyone is that afraid of covid and not vaccinated, allergies for it have to be super rare. Plus what’s app.

It’s like everything is screaming scammer while also screaming legit at the same time.

I will ask her to video chat just so I can get some closure.

So I mentioned my job opportunity and situation to this likely scam artist and honestly they gave me some pretty sound advice.

Whole situation continues to baffle me lol

If scam, you should feel honored. They put their best man on you.

I kinda am. Honestly Im just going to keep talking to them because they’re interesting and clearly pretty smart. If they finally try the scam I’ll try to reverse scam them.

If this is a scam I could see this person making bank. A less internet savvy and lonelier guy gets his lunch taken here 90% of the time.

She projects wealth. Small business owner. Says she invests in her down time. She also said she thinks because society gave her wealth, she owes society so she donated 10% of her income to less fortunate children back in China.

I could see them trying to pull a " I have a great investment opportunity " thing.

It they aren’t a scammer they’re pretty based though

The nearby park they mentioned, is the thing that makes me vote real.

This is likely, yes.

I’ll give 5-1 on scam if outcomes other than likely scam (as judged by Stim) and meeting in person are a push.

This could be an exceptional gimmick

Any ideas in confirming scam or not? Other than a live video call. I absolutely hate those.

FaceTime is such an easy way to confirm scam or not though.

I actually had video chats with two scammers. The quality of the connection was poor for both. The image matched the profile, but we weren’t able to communicate much. I suspected their end was prerecorded to simulate a poor connection.

Any other recommendations for confirming ?

I kinda think it’s actually an ugly lonely person

Maybe in your two cases the profile was the real person, they were just far away and still trying to scam

Other than all the warning flags I discussed? Not until she makes The Ask.

It’s possible the person videoed was in on the scam or the scammer herself, yes.

What’s the time limit for that though? Seems uncomfirmable that way until we meet.

You’ll confirm it when she makes The Ask, at which point you can either tell her to fuck off or let yourself be scammed. This might take a few weeks.

You guys are going to feel real dumb when she ends up being real and we get married!

I could kind of throw it out there I’m weary of being scammed and let her kno ie cuts her losses? I’m surprised you didn’t do that after like the 3rd time some one tried to scam you lol
