People might piss on his grave, but yeah, we’re drawing dead for any consequences during his life. But that was pretty much always the case if he was re-elected.
And agreed, if Biden had pardoned Trump day 1 that would have been far better politically - we should have learned by now that you can never underestimate the average American voter.

SCOTUS hands the LOL Law crowd another L and they just decide to gaslight through. Typical.
Trump got convicted of 34 felonies and just got sentenced to “unconditional discharge”.
May not be the best morning to try to dunk on the LOL LAW crowd.

I suppose I could research it myself, but what is unconditional discharge? Aside from something you get when you have gonorrhea?
You get all the stigma of being a convicted felon but none of the punishment.

With the reality that Trump will be the President, imposing meaningful consequences is inappropriate. I was hoping for unmonitored probation, but only because I didn’t know literally no sentence was an option.
yeah this seems like a really dumb way for them to consume political capital considering the court is already seen as illegitimate. I can see them doing this if they thought Merchan was gonna give trump jail time OR if this was a shadow docket thing where we wouldn’t see how they voted, but considering we all knew that wasn’t going to happen why get involved here?
