Let's fight about artists with one clear *best* song

I was doing my usual: multiple browsers open, finger up my ass, opening a diet coke… when my attention was unified on that voice wow

I like this band a lot

One piece of trivia is that when Teddy loses the final hand at the end and throws his hand at the table in disgust, the cards bounce up and if you freezeframe you can see what he had. He flopped top set.

Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert were the best SNL guest hosts evar.

Note: the bar is pretty low w this one

If you haven’t already, you should listen to Rose Mountain. Great record with an awesome title track.

Ebert was the best at everything.

Wow, I loved this movie but somehow haven’t thought of it in 15 years or so and might have never remembered it again given I’m old. Thank you.

What about screenwriting?

This is genuinely good though. His cards are never shown, a lazier filmmaker just has his hand end up as two random cards.
Rounders isn’t great, but it’s a cult classic 7/10 film with some good actors/performances.

Talented family

Found The Music of Chance online uh nice

will watch it a bit later

I had this dream where there was a thread in which somebody said When Doves Cry, a song, incidentally, from the album Purple Rain, was clearly the best Prince song.

Oh fuck this thing is real.

The answer is obviously Purple Rain but if you’re talking to a Prince fan say it’s either Lady Cab Driver or 17 Days. Though they’ll know you’re trying to get cute with them they will respect you.

We’re both wrong and it’s actually State Of Love And Trust though I didn’t think people were ready for that. But now I’m getting cuter than a motherfucker.

Srsly,

  1. SOLAT
  2. Yellow Ledbetter
  3. Black

State of Love and Trust definitely a gem.

Both Pearl Jam tracks from the Singles soundtrack are solid.

They don’t have a song that is clearly their best.

If you haven’t seen it, Life Itself is an absolute must watch
