Leaving on that midnight train for Georgia Runoff

senior is whoever gets sworn in first, whoever wants it more

senate isn’t in session till teh 19th but these will be on the schedule at least by then (they could swear them in earlier I’m sure since it’d only require a few people to be there for it), but as dlk9 stated, the election is not certified yet, and the deadline for that isn’t till the 22nd. which of course means a massive clusterfuck on a predictit market.

also, perdue has conceded

Yes, but can the two of them get together and decide who that will be. Does someone else decide? Is it just straight alphabetical?

the answer to all of that is yes

last one was mcsally/sienma but ducey decided sienma was elected so she went first

whoever gets there first for whatever reasoning they want

also perdue conceded but didn’t call ossoff nor mentioned him by name in the concession letter

and I’m sitting here like “well at least he didn’t say he really won” sigh

oh right he did call him a liar and a crook, but man since when has that bothered you.

Well I can’t see how he runs this gem of an ad if it didn’t bother him.

Fucking insanity. So people who were saying Trump supporters don’t come out when Trump isn’t on the ballot can knock that off. We simply had the goat get out the vote campaign in history and still had a super close race.

That’s really incredible though. Never happened before in history right? Not even in a mid terms much less a fucking runoff. Though I guess its rare the stakes were this high.

And the first thing we’re going to do is renege on our promises to them. Love it.

I still can’t believe the dems actually swept this. Sucks it got immediately overshadowed by the insurrectionists.

On cue

Well, Kemp and Raffensberger have already announced changes they want to make to make it harder for people to vote.

Especially when all he did was average the class’s answers together.

At the time of McSally’s appointment, Ducey said he wanted Sinema sworn in first.

However, the order on Thursday was determined by last names, meaning McSally was the first woman sworn in.

Sinema will hold the title of Arizona’s senior senator since she was elected and the first one certified by the official canvass.

So if this is right, getting sworn in first doesn’t necessarily make you the senior. Go figure.
