Leaving on that midnight train for Georgia Runoff

Didn’t CNN and MSNBC play huge roles in getting Trump elected? Televising empty podiums waiting for the clown to speak? The media plays a big role in shaping the national political narrative, and if that narrative is Trump, I don’t see how Trump is going to go away.

They obvi talked about him alot in 2020 but they cut back on coverage of his rallies a ton. Part of the problem in 2016 is that Crooked Hillary and Pedophile Podesta encouraged their media allies to air Trump rallies and give him coverage because they wanted to run against him.

Well, the idea would be to build a stable ruling coalition unified by passionate opposition to Trump. He would continue to be a part of the American political scene in the sense of being on TV a lot, but not in the sense of running the government.

They obviously did in 2016 but it was a novelty and people genuinely wanted to watch Trump. He has been saying insane things for 5+ years now, and everyone is inured to it. What he says only matters because he’s President.

I’m curious what type of Trump content beyond investigations into his criminality would control the media narrative in like a year from now.

Will he or won’t he coverage of his 2024 bid.

They did though. Things were very different in 2020. Hunter Biden did not turn into But Her Emails.

Really? We just had the analogy about Biden’s election comparing it to a vote on what to eat, where one side wanted pizza, and the other side wanted to kill you and eat you, and pizza winning doesn’t really solve the problem.

So is Wasserman really digging into county and precinct level and looking at what types of votes are left to count? I guess he has to be because there’s no other way to do it. But I follow him on twitter and can’t remember any kind of detailed analysis coming out. Does he work for Nate Silver or something?

It’ll be 2020 where they are strategic in their coverage rather than just giving him a megaphone like 2016 mixed in with treating him as a pathetic whiny loser rather than an ominous fear-inspiring supervillain.

I have generally been praising this iteration of the Needle, but I think they need to check their math:

merrick garland rumored to be the AG pick…

way to really use that incoming majority joe…

That doesn’t strike me as Trump controlling the national media narrative. That’s like a five minute segment on MSNBC that a few million people watch.

Well at least they can fill his judicial seat.

The fuck are these networks doing? Schumer congratulates both then Bob Casey follows him in an interview with Hallie Jackson, and her line is, “Aren’t you hesitant to congratulate them given we haven’t officially called it yet?”

All the chuds call Trudeau beta, but he’s in better shape than any of them and actually boxed a conservative senator and won the fight.

Nate Silver isn’t fit to carry Wasserman’s jock strap.
