Has he said that? I don’t doubt the general principle that these Republicans will frequently protest things like lack of decorum by Trump (or whoever else) and then vote for them without hesitation anyway, but I’m not nearly so sure that he would vote for two people who publicly tried to light him on fire.
Not saying he would vote for Ossoff/Warnock, of course.
Raffensperger said their call for his removal will not change the way he votes in the state’s upcoming runoff, where both Perdue and Loeffler are up for reelection.
“I’m a Republican. I vote for Republicans. So I wish them well,” Raffensperger said. “The job of the Republican Party is to raise money and turn out the vote. My job as secretary of State is to make sure we have honest and fair elections. It’s as simple as that, and I think in my office integrity matters.”
I’m gonna give him a bit of credit. Just the tiniest amount. We’re talking some like John McCain, “Obama’s not a Muslim…” level. It’s worth ~0, but not actually zero.
Interesting, maybe the free money message is seeping through? Not like there needed to be another reason to hold out, but if Chucky & Nance take table scraps for a deal in the next week(s), err, I don’t even want to finish the sentence.
I used to think they’re incompetent but they’re so incredibly competent nuking progressives the only logical conclusion is they just DGAF.
You don’t need to be that smart to see the move was to pound “we will give you money and they won’t” starting 11/5/20. The only explanation for what they’re actually doing (handing a win to Mitch/Lieffler/Perdue) is that they would rather have Mitch in charge than risk a challenge to the entrenched fossils.
They want people to stop bothering them, and probably remembered being told in the genera that the calls and texts would stop once the state certified receipt of their ballot.
Yup, seems bad. If I’m going to try to come up with a reason that mail-in could be down, yet Dems still have a shot is that maybe lots of Dem voters are worried about Republican shenanigans with ballot verification and what-not after all the general election ruckus, so they are voting in person. Like they think Kemp and friends are going to start tossing lots of ballots because Trump is mad. I don’t know, just trying to make myself feel better.
I don’t think they want the GOP to win per se, I just think they are so bought and paid for that they’re against any material help for the working class. Running on it and winning, then failing to deliver, would be catastrophic.
Instead they appear incompetent and say “If we’d only won…” so they they trick completely moronic, absolutely stupid as fuck, absurdly gullible, loser-ass motherfuckers like me into donating and knocking on doors for them.
Like they are at absolute GTO for making me feel like a fucking idiot.
Maybe I’m being too hard on myself as I was never pro-Joe, just anti-Trump, but I still gave money to some of these scumbags in the Senate. I might as well have lit it on fire. God damn it I was stupid.
Defeating Trump was important, but believing that taking the Senate mattered was some sweet summer child bullshit. The Dems were always finding a way not to do anything with that trifecta if we handed it to them.
As far as I can tell, the candidates themselves aren’t making this case either. Does that mean that Warnock and Ossoff are in on it, too?
I’m not sure that pounding that message is the right way to convey that message. For one, it’s vulnerable to Republicans saying yes. A better strategy might be to have a pretense of good faith negotiations with the intention of having them fail, then blaming it all on Republicans. I don’t know if Democrats have the discipline to commit to that sort of longer dance.
Doesn’t matter, even if we take the Senate, which we might, it’s just going to force them to take the mask off even further to fail to do anything of value.
