Leaked Ukrainian Documents

i got curious and went looking for these documents, but two biggest pro-ru telegrams didn’t even mention them

Sounds like there’s at least useful information in them for the Russians to have, at least the unaltered originals, and at least to the extent information is relevant to their planning.

Russians aren’t stupid, but their organization seems to filter out information inconsistent with their desired outcomes.

Who knows what’s really going on. Could be a banana in the tailpipe.

UA spokesman said the leaked documents maybe fake.

The basis is the slides is probably real, with maybe some altered information. They look more sophisticated than I would expect from completely faked documents

Ukraine has already altered some of its military plans because of the leak, a source close to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told CNN.

Non paywall link to Wapo story on documents leak. Completely nuts. “OG” is F’d.

Cliffs: racist gun nut gamer guy calling himself OG worked at a secure facility and shared classified docs with his online buddies to educate them on how the world really works. Now crapping himself.

CIT guys talked about this. They sometimes go into chat rooms and forums, and start arguments that can be resolved by providing evidence. And forum posters who do have some evidence are sometimes provoked into rage posting screenshots etc. Some belingcat investigations also did this

Hard to believe people can be this stupid but I guess they can. OG’s big problem is he wasn’t president so he’s going away for a very long time.

Excellent article. Shocking but not surprising.

Dropping sick knowledge bombs like the following:

Now he says he believes that the world should see the secrets OG passed along to a tiny group. He argued that the public deserves to know how intelligence agencies spend their tax dollars, and was particularly outraged that the documents show U.S. surveillance of foreign allies.

No wai.

Wonder how much prison time he will get.

It’s going to be annoying if this guy, a guy who was intentionally leaking documents for his own personal sense of grandeur and to win online arguments, gets less time than Reality Winner

I dunno this guy is just a dumbass. Hard to feel vindictive towards him. He needs to be jailed because you can’t have employees doing this stuff, but I hope they give him a light sentence. The justice system is very results oriented though (drive drunk and get a slap on the wrist if nothing goes wrong, jail if you happen to kill someone) so since this affair has been so embarrassing I would guess they’ll throw the book at him.

…a 21-year-old member of the intelligence wing of the Massachusetts Air National Guard… whose name is Jack Teixeira…

NYT talked to his mom and some other guy.

When asked if Airman Teixeira was there and willing to speak, the man said: “He needs to get an attorney if things are flowing the way they are going right now. The Feds will be around soon, I’m sure.”
