A herd of cows once ominously followed a friend and I across a field when we were out walking. At the time it was just bizarre and a little funny, but maybe we had a lucky escape.

Joking aside this is not an irregular occurance - a cow herd can be dangerous and they’re big animals - so yeah you could well have had a lucky escape.

Some of the baseball owners might have a huge net worth but are also in a bad cash crunch. Some of which is due to loans on getting the money to buy the team or area around it stuff like that and those dgaf about not having baseball pay up.
The rest are just doing this because that’s the business mindset. You don’t accrue that level of cash without it. With likely no minor league season some of those owners are probably wondering why they’re paying any of them at all.
Didn’t mean to defend or anything just a poor explanation. It sucks, minor leaguers get paid shit as it is.
I remember Martin cancelling an appearance on Conan O’Brien’s show like THREE YEARS AGO or something and using ‘gotta finish the book’ as the excuse lol. This was Conan’s old show, the hour long one with the band, not the current half-hour version.
