LC Thread 2020: What the PUNK? ROCK.

Nope, our hospital food is also borderline-edible garbage, we just pay out the ass for it.

I think they cut out the last 30 seconds or so of this on the west coast replay. Either that or I just spaced off when I watched, but I doubt it.

I remember thinking - that was weird, he trashes white women hijacking the woke movement, but then doesn’t really give any details.

USA! USA! USA!

Mississippi has a Forrest county. Two r’s. Yes, named after Nathanial Bedford Forrest.

I have spent 15 total minutes in west virginia and it was the creepiest 15 minutes of my life

College World Series is in Nebraska.

West Virginia is gorgeous country to drive through. Just make sure you gas up in a neighboring state and maybe have some snacks or something so you don’t have to stop anywhere.

Everybody on Twitter is a comedy expert. “I like comedy but this isn’t funny.” I also see a lot of people talking about him “making a point.” Like, listen motherfuckers, he’s not making a point, he’s making a joke. “When he admitted he wasn’t aware of gay pride month” wasn’t a statement of fact, it’s a setup for a god damn punchline. But again, everyone on Twitter is an expert on everything.

We were cutting through WV going from VA to PA and we stopped at a gas station. I got out and these two hillbilly hicks were standing outside the store and they stared at my girlfriend the entire time we were there.

I’ve been to Harper’s Ferry in WV - gorgeous area.

Yeah WV has nature and casino poker in three locations so I think we can do worse. They don’t have a big city though and certainly not one I’d want to live in for any extended time. Some of the bad states have cities worth visiting or living in. I haven’t been to every state but the ones I really disliked were the flat ones where everything looks the same.

Let’s give it a shot. In no particular order

California
Alaska
Hawaii
New York
Utah
Texas
Illinois
Florida
Mass

So that’s nine. We get DC for free since it’s not a state. That leaves one more depending on what you’re interested in. That’s a pretty comprehensive American experience.

Alaska, Hawaii and Utah are really just there for nature, natl parks, etc. You could arguably cut those since as the US doesn’t really have a monopoly on those things.

Had to go with the Kentucky write in.

I’ve been to minneapolis/St Paul’s, San Francisco, Vegas and LA.

Would go again as I certainly missed out on stuff I wanted to do and see.

New York
Florida
Texas
Hawaii
Nevada
California
Wyoming
Louisiana
Illinois

If I thought about it more as a trip I’d probably add a few

Most leftists I know just want an end to the killing and bombing and think it’s bad when a Republican or Democrat President does it. Doesn’t stop dipshit centrist from arguing this straw man though I’ll tell you what

IIRC, the Grand Canyon is entirely within Arizona, so I think it makes the list on that basis alone. Plus you get other unique nature features, good food especially in Phoenix, exposure to Native American culture/history/architecture, etc.
